The seven-day screening camp of J&K Ranji trophy and Under-23 team cricketers under ace cricketer Irfan Pathan started at Sheri-Kashmir cricket stadium here on Sunday.
The camp is aimed to make Irfan Pathan who recently assumed the charge of his role as J&K cricket’s mentor cum player aware about cricketers.
According to officials only those J&K senior and Under-23 cricketers who had last season represented state at national level are participating.
“The Jammu bound players couldn’t attend the first day of camp due to bad weather and are expected to attend camp in a day or two,” said the officials.
The camp is being attended by Parvez Rasool, Abid Nabi, Umer Nazir, Owais Shah, Zahoor Sofi, Waseem Raza, Mehjoor Sofi, Mohammad Mudhasir among others.
