Hosts Real Kashmir FC were held to a goalless draw by visitors FC Pune City Reserves in its opening match of the Second Division I-League season at Synthetic Turf TRC Ground here on Wednesday.
Starting as favorites in the match, hosts Real Kashmir were frustrated by the young guns of FC Pune City for most part of the game. Prior to the match, everyone had predicted easy outing for Real Kashmir that boosts big players and have been preparing for this event all through the season. However, in it its opening game that too on the home ground they were provided reality check by the FC Pune City that comprised mostly of youngsters.
Despite getting chances Real Kashmir FC failed to break the deadlock and the match ended in 0-0 draw. They had to share point with FC Pune City.
Real Kashmir will next play Delhi Dynamos FC Reserves on Saturday while as another I-League club of Kashmir, Lone Star will take on FC Pune City on Sunday.
