Ranji Trophy Trials: Nasir Lone’s 10-wicket-haul leads Team B to 4-wicket win

A 10-wicket-haul by all-rounder Nasir Lone on Sunday led Team B to 4-wicket win against Team B in the first multi-day trial match at Hostel Ground, Jammu.

Resuming the second innings on the overnight score of 260-3, Team A could only add 100 more runs to the total. Jiyaad Magery’s ton and Yawar Hassan’s 94 remained the highlight of their innings.

For Team B, Nasir Lone, who had taken 6 wickets in the first innings, picked up 4 more wickets while Waseem Bashir and Basit Bashir shared two wickets each.

Chasing the total of 161 runs, Team B lost 6 wickets in the process. Arya Thakur scored in the sixties while Nasir Lone remained unbeaten on 30. Sampark Gupta and Janib Javed took two wickets each for Team A.

The trial match was jointly held between the Senior and U-23 categories for the selection of Ranji Trophy and CK Nayudu Trophy, respectively. The second trial match is scheduled for December 27th to 30th at Hostel Ground, Jammu.

Match Summary: Team A: 80-10 (Nasir Lone 6 wickets, Team B: 280-10 (Vanshaj Sharma 6 wickets, Team A: 360-10 (Nasir Lone 4 wickets), Team B: 161-6 (Arya Thakur sixties).
