Ranji Trophy: In-form J&K to face struggling Chattisgarh

Srinagar, January 26: High on confidence Jammu and Kashmir is all set to host limphing Chattisgarh on Monday at GGM Science College ground, Jammu in the Ranji Trophy round-seven match.

After pipping erstwhile table-toppers Odhisa in the last match, the north Indian side will enter the game as favourites since Chattisgarh has’t been consistent enough in the premier event thus far.

The latter, having pulled off best ever results in the tournament this season, will be looking to continue their winning streak, however, Chattisgarh would be in awe of taking advantage of J&K’s expected easy approach.

A win at home will almost confirm the table-toppers’ ticket to quarter-finals, hence the Parvez Rasool-side won’t be relaxing while going into the match. For tourists, the bowlers are likely to play important role as pitch might favour the men with the ball.

The home team is expected to introduce Jiyad Magrey in the match, considering the struggling form of opener Ahmad Banday. The rest of the team will probably be unchanged.
