Ranjhi Trophy: Teja’s fighting 50 drives AP close to terrific win

 

Srinagar: A fighting 50 by R Teja has pushed Andhra Pradesh close to the terrific victory against JK on the last day of the Ranjhi trophy match at Mumbai on Sunday.

After bowling JK allout for 11 in second inning, AP needed 190 runs to victory. When this report was being filled AP were on 157 for the loss of five four wickets, needing only 34 runs for a shock victory. The victory would be shock in the sense as they had conceded first inning lead against JK first inning.

Ram dayal took the crucial wickets of Teja who scored 50 and Pradeep who scored 27. Earlier Parvez Rasool had taken first three wickets of AP inning.

JK in first inning had scored 334. AP in reply had scored 255.ranji
