Qatar National Day Celebration: Shahid Afridi will lead the World Stars in the game

Internationals stars all over the world will take part in a Twenty20 match as well as a 50-over game to be played in Doha on 16th December to celebrate the National Day of Qatar.

The International Cricket Association in partnership with ProEvent Qatar confirmed that World Stars will be captained by former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi and they will take on Qatar stars.

Afridi will be joined by his former team-mate Saeed Ajmal, Jerome Taylor and Kesrick Williams from West Indies, Yusuf Pathan, Mohammad Kaif, Lakshmipathy Balaji, Graham Onions, Mohammad Ashraful and others.

The World Stars will be coached by former England cricketer Paul Nixon and will have Aamir Sohail as team manager.

On the other hand, Qatar Stars will have the likes of Pakistan’s Abdul Razzaq, Mohammad Irfan and Kamran Akmal.shahid-afridi

The T20 match has been scheduled to be played on 16th December while the One-Day game will be played on 18th December with both matches to be played in Asian Town Cricket Stadium.
