After impressing in the coaching camp, two J&K cricketers, Qamran Iqbal and Mujtaba Yusuf have been selected for the Under-19 North Zone team for the upcoming 2-day Inter-Zonal cricket tournament.
Qamran and Mujtaba were part of the North Zone coaching camp at Gurgoan that had shortlisted cricketers from North Zone. The camp included five cricketers from J&K and out of them two got selected for the team. North Zone team includes 14 players and they will taking rest of the zones in the event scheduled to be held in Himachal Pradesh.
Qamran was this season J&K Under-19 captain and did well for the team while as Mujtaba Yusuf has been on the radar of selectors from last two years having previous stints in zonal teams as well as Under-16 India camp. Qamran is right handed batsman from Srinagar while as Mujtaba is left arm pacer who hails from Bijbehara-Anantnag.
