Srinagar: Pakistan bowling coach Australian Shaun Tait has hailed pacer Haris Rauf for the exceptional last over against India.
“My best moment was Harris Rauf’s last over. We had a misfield and a dropped catch, put that aside. He has been working so hard on his yorkers and slow balls and he executed it last night perfectly. I think potentially that was match-winning,” Tait told PCB digital.
Haris Rauf bowled exceptional 20th over where he bagged the wicket of former Indian captain Virat Kohli. Fakhar’s misfield in the final over of the Indian innings cost Pakistan eight runs as it allowed Ravi Bishnoi to hit two consecutive fours in the last two balls helping India put up 181 runs on the board.
When asked about the recent injuries to Pakistan fast-bowlers, Tait maintained that the pace at which these youngsters bowl, they will get injured.
“Fast bowlers of Pakistan are young and fiery. The intensity with which they bowl makes them bound to get injured,” said the former Australian speedster.
“My main job is to prepare 2-3 fast bowlers as backup who are ready to face India, Australia, and England when the time comes,” Tait said.
