Srinagar: Former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir has lashed out at Pakistan team management for keeping young pacer Ihsanullah on bench during ongoing T20 series against New Zealand.
Amir thinks that Ihsanullah’s impressive performance in the previous series against Afghanistan should have earned him a spot. However, Ihsanullah has been ignored in the first four T20Is of the series against the Kiwis.
“I was looking forward to see @ihsanullah150 bowl in NZ series but he has been benched. Ihsan @thePSLt20 ka aur Afghanistan series ka sabse acha bowler tha. Everyone was enjoying his fast & furious bowling & celebration. We should groom Ihsan instead of destroying his confidence,” Amir tweeted.
Ihsanullah made his PSL debut while representing Multan Sultans and was the second-highest wicket-taker of the tournament after claiming 22 wickets.
He was selected for Pakistan side against the Afghanistan in a three-match T20I series in Sharjah. Ihsanullah took six wickets in the series and was the leading wicket-taker as well.
