Srinagar, August 4: Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan on Sunday said that his heart and mind were still in Kashmir after emergency exit earlier in the day.
After serving the state as player-cum-mentor last season, Pathan recently joined Jammu and Kashmir senior team as coach. He was in Kashmir to monitor the trial matches and guide the team ahead of the upcoming domestic season.
However, due to ongoing ‘chaos’ in Kashmir, the Baroda native had to leave Valley. He returned back alongside his family earlier in the day.
After his exit, Pathan showed his support for the people and security forces in Kashmir.
“Both, my mind & heart are still back in Kashmir with Indian army & Indian Kashmiri brothers and sisters… #Kashmir #KashmirUnderThreat” He Tweeted.
