My dream is to take the wicket of Virat Kohli: Pakistan young spinner

Srinagar: Pakistan cricket team young spinner Abrar Ahmed has said that it is his dream to take wicket of India’s batting superstar Virat Kohli.

Abrar, who made his Pakistan debut in a Test series against England in 2022, has been included in Pakistan squad that will play a T20I series against Ireland and England this month before the World Cup begins.

Abrar is likely to be part of Pakistan’s World Cup squad. Pakistan will be taking on India at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on June 9.

In a media talk on Saturday, Abrar stated that the focus is just on winning matches for Pakistan. He also revealed his dream of taking Kohli’s wicket.

“I was named in the squad [for the upcoming] series, I will focus on every match,” Abrar said. “We have world-class spinners, the goal is to win matches for Pakistan.”

“Our target [in the World Cup] is all teams, [but] my dream is to take the wicket of Virat Kohli,” he added. “I’m also trying to improve my batting.”

Earlier Daily Jang reported that a ticket which was previously available for $1300 is now selling for more than $2500 — nearly double as compared to the original price.
