Srinagar, November 13: Jammu and Kashmir all-rounder, Abid Mushtaq, was Friday called by Mumbai Indians for trials ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) auction.

He will leave for Mumbai this afternoon and attend the trials tomorrow.

“He was called yesterday for trials. He will leave today and participate in trials tomorrow,” a source close to Abid told KSW.

Abid, who bowls left-arm spin and is capable of batting down the order, has been performing constantly for J&K in all the three formats.

He received this call-up on basis of few decent outings in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Although J&K won only one match in the tournament, there were a few players, including Abid, who left a mark with their performance.
