Freelance sports journalist Zeeshan Perviaz interviewed North Kashmir’s renowned English commentator Mohammad Shafi Parra from Chanderhama Pattan .Parra is Post Graduate in Psychology, M.Ed and is presently working in Medical department as AFHC Councilor (NRHM). He has got flare for cricket commentary and can been doing commentary in various cricket events of North Kashmir. 
Q: When you holds the mike first time as Cricket Commentator ?
Ans. I started Commentary first time in the first edition of SNW cricket tournament in 2003 and I was in the 10th standard at that time.
Q: Have you played cricket at some point of time ?
Ans:- No, I had never played the game of cricket at any point of time but I was and I am loving to watch the cricket from my childhood.
Q: Which international match you like most to watch on TV ?
Ans:- India V/s Pakistan , Ashes Series matches between England and Australia because the commentators became most aggresive during these historic clashes of cricket.
Q: Which thing impressed you to take the step towards Commentary ?
Ans:- I used to listen the radio commentary of International matches between India and Pakistan which impressed me to take the step towards commentary .
Q: Whom you say the best commentators in international cricket ?
Ans:- Ravi Shastri ,Rameez Raja and Sanjay Manjrekar are my inspiration.As per my wishes trio are the best commentators in cricketing world.
Q: You are the renowned distt. level English commentator, but tell us a bit about any big event where you did the commentary ?
Ans:- SNW is itself a big event .There is hardly any ground where I didn’t commentary. People call me from the different parts of the state for commentary, At the state level I did the commentary in the final of state football tournament organised by J&K state sports council at TRC ground.
Q: You are most popular english commentator , whom you would like to gave the most credit for your popularity ?
Ans :- Credit goes to the game of cricket which gave me a chance to expose my voice through commentary, But I am very thankful to the Sports media , news paper like Kashmir Images, Sports Journalist Zeeshan Pervaiz, TV Channel like Gulistan TV and the Sports Website Kashmir Sports Watch who gave a wide publicity to the SNW tournament Chanderhama where I am the official commentator in the SNW tournaments.
Q: Any honourable moment you had in the field of Commentary which you likes most or strikes your mind repeatedly ?
Ans:- Lot of honourable moments I had during my 15 years career of commentary.Most liking moment I had when I got the award of best commentator from the hands of Joint Secretary J&K State Football Association Zameer Ahmad Thokar in the final match of Ghulam Mohammad Memorial Football Tournament 2017 organised by District Football Association Baramulla in Collaboration with DFA pattan.
Q: Any joyful Commentary moment you would have to be like jumped in the air ? ( MATLAB , AAP USS YAADGAAR LAMHE KI WAJAH SE JAISE HAWA MAI UCHLE HOO ).
Ans:- Yes i feel myself in the air ,When I did commentary in the final of SNW tournament 14th edition 2017 which was played between Star Sports Palhallan and Check Razak Khan in front of jam packed crowd and the guest of honours were the renowned personalities like Director Radio Kashmir Srinagar Syed Humayoon Qaiser and President Affarwat-XI Cricket Club Kreeri/Cricket Analyst Zeeshan Pervaiz .It was the memorable and proud moment not only for me but for the whole village of Chanderhama. That was really a joyful moment for us.
Q: You did the commentary for all the 14 editions of SNW and you are the main witness of all the 14 editions of SNW.Out of 14 editions which edition was the most successful and whom you would like to gave the credit for making the event most succesful ?
Ans:- we can say all the 14 editions were successful because of the management of SNW.They worked tirelessly for the 14 years continuously to provide the good cricket for the players of kashmir division.But the 14th edition was a different edition for us and specially for the spectators and the participants because the media gave a full coverage to the event, Coloured uniforms with white balls were first time introduced in the 14th editions and most valuable part of the event was that leading players from the state J&K participated in the 14th edition like Mehjoor Ali ,Manzoor Pandav, Imran Haroon, Raabi , Jehangir Lone, Raza , Nasir Parray ,Aqib, Waseem Kachur and some of the notable names I didn’t know so obviously we can say the 14th edition of SNW was the most successive edition and the credit goes to the management of SNW Chanderhama especially Mohammad Rafiq Parray ( Ex-Chairman SNW ),President SNW Abdul Raqeeb Dar , Chief Patron Abdul Mujid Dar also working as Chairman Awqaaf Committee Chanderhama ,Mohammad Raqeeb Dar
And the media has played important role to highlight the 14th edition of SNW. Without media it was not possible for the participation of the notable cricketers in the 14th edition of SNW 2017.Some of my friends from Saudi told me about the popularity of 14th edition it was only because of the media involvement, special thanks to Kashmir Images and Zeeshan Pervaiz for making the event different.
Q: Any famous personality who were watching your live commentary and was impressed ?
Ans :- Yes , Secretary Sports Council J&K State , Waheed ur Rehman Parra during the final match of Football Final at TRC ground Srinagar and appreciated me also on social media (Facebook).
Q: Final question,Have you ever gave up,when criticised ?
Ans :- I never gave up, even when criticised.It is my passion. I feel I will improve to become even better in future.
