Baramulla, July 25: Today in the final event of Tahir Memorial Cosco Cup Mir Sports won the toss and opt bat first .Ajaz once again looked in a great form and smashed a brilliant knock of 31 runs for Mir Sports and posted a good total of 79 runs in alloted 10 overs.
Bilal Ahmad and Amir bowled superbly for Rising Star Thindima but other bowlers didn’t support them.Amir took 2 wickets. In reply Rising Stars openers gave a flying start. Amir played a great knock of 35 runs but all his efforts went in vain as no other batsmen touched the double figure and lose the title by 6 runs. Adil (Lefty) bowled superbly and took the very important wicket of Amir at very crucial time.Adil(lefty) took 2 wickets while jehangir, Muzzamil and Adil(Righty) took 1 wicket each.
Adil (lefty) was declared man of the match , while Rayees Ahmad was declared man of the series. Nazir Ahmad Lone (Physical Education Master) and Bashir Ahmad Mir were the chief guests and presents the awards among the players. The tournament was organised by Mujib ur Rehman and Suhail Ahmad Wani.
