Srinagar: With just one day left in the I-League game between hosts Real Kashmir FC and Minerva Punjab FC, the visitors are yet to turn in Srinagar for the match.
After the Militant attack on security forces in Lethpora, Pulwama on Srinagar –Jammu national Highway in which 49 security personals have died, Minerva Punjab had expressed their inability to travel to Srinagar in view of the situation.
Minerva was quoted as saying that they want match to be shifted and they are even ready to forfeit match. Later Minerva management even tried to say that they will be playing match after sometime as it is not appropriate this time to go ahead with the match. The club management as of now has taken stand that All India Football Federation is yet to assure them of full proof security.
Meanwhile, AIFF match commissioners, referees are in Srinagar for the match and they are following their own protocol of keeping everything ready.
As AIFF has gone ahead with the scheduled match, it is to be seen what will be line of action from the Minerva who have quite vocal through their official twitter handle. Even their owner and co-owners have been vocal in dragging the Real Kashmir into controversy.
