Zubair Bhat’s tight spell with the ball and crucial knock with the bat led Media Studies Department, Government Degree College Baramulla to the finals of the tournament with a 6-wicket win against Womens College Srinagar.
Earlier after opting to bat first, Womens College Srinagar only managed to score a paltry total of 72/8 in alloted 15 overs. Irshad Ahmad was the top scorer with unbeaten 29 runs to his name. For Media Studies GDC Baramulla, Saqib Bashir once again bowled a brilliant spell as he returned with figures of 3-0-9-2 with the ball while as Dr. Mudasir Sultan also scalped 2 wickets with the ball.
In response, Media Studies Baramulla chased down the target comfortably in 11.2 overs loosing only 4 wickets. Tawseef top scored with 21 runs while as Zubair Bhat played a crucial knock of unbeaten 17 runs. Rafeeq took 2 wickets for Womens College Srinagar.
