Sopore : Affarwat-XI won its first Jammu Kashmir Premier League (JKPL) Sopore conducted by J&K Cricket Association match against Dandoosa Reds at Noorgah Sports Feild Sopore on Wednesday here.
A 68-run splendid partnership between Waheed Bashir (U/19) and Musavir (U/19) saw Affarwat-XI to carry its first win in JKCA Premiere League Sopore 2018.
Dandoosa Reds Skipper won the toss and opt bat first , Dandoosa Reds Openers gave firy start of 53 runs in first 10 overs but middle order were send to defencive mode by the quality bowlers of Affarwat-XI like Ubaid, Bhat Showkat,Bilal and Latif , as Dandoosa Reds managed to set a target of 184/10 in 26.1 overs for Affarwat-XI.Shiekh Muzzamil was the highest contributor with bat of 52 runs off 43 balls for Dandoosa Reds.
Bhat Showkat, Ubaid , Musavir and Latif Scalped 2 wickets each while Bilal took 1 wicket for Affarwat-XI.
Mansoor hit powered knock of 47 runs off 28 balls consisting of 4 boundaries and 3 sixes while Ashiq added useful 27* runs, Waheed Bashir 28 runs and Musavir hit quick fire 35 runs for Affarwat-XI to chase down the target of 184/5 runs in 24 overs and won the match by 5 wickets at Noorgah Sports Feild Sopore here on Wednesday.
Musavir was named as man of the match for his splendid allround performances.
