Manhas, Majid Dar join JK Ranji trophy team in Gujarat

Chief Coach Mithun Manhas alongwith assistant coach Majid Dar has joined J&K Ranji trophy for its third Ranji trophy match at Surat Gujarat.

J&K will be playing third ranji trophy match against hosts Gujarat Surat on Tuesday.  In the first two matches J&K was without the services of Mithun Manhas and his assistant.Manhas Majid Dar

With the addition of these two, for the team of 16 players J&K has support staff six now. Mithun is chief coach while as Majid Dar has been appointed as assistant coach. Abdul Qayoom Bagaw is bowling coach while as Mushtaq Mushi has is trainer. Mujtaba is video analyst while as Dr Aijaz is Physio.

Apart from question being raised on the contract of Mithun Manhas, the bigger questions mark is on the appointment of Majid Dar as assistant coach.

Majid Dar during his time as player with JK Ranji Trophy team failed miserably and was forced to retire. During his around 10 years with Ranji trophy he managed batting average of mere 17.81. Despite multiple failures he managed his way into Ranji trophy team and it was clear that he has his say in JKCA. That now is evident with the fact it is being said that he has been appointed as assistant coach on a contract of around Rs 5 lakhs.

“It is irony that a failed player has now been appointed coach of the players with whom he played. One fails to understand the wisdom behind. It is now clear that JKCA just want to adjust their own in team anyhow and don’t care about the results,” said a player.

Another local player said that JKCA has got money for their partners in crime but nothing for the development.

“How come they have got one crore for Manhas and five lakhs for Dar. Only few weeks back they were raising hue and cry that we have no money. Then what was need to take their services which were not required at all. They are looting public money by adjusting their own ones,” he said.
