Srinagar, January 22: The blazing knock of 95 runs by Kevin O Brien was in cain as Upul Tharanga and Mohammad Hafee led Asia Lions to first win in Legends League Cricket in Muscat, Oman on Friday.
In the match Asia Lions beat World Giants by six wickets.
In the first innings, it was Kevin O Brien’s bat who scored the bulk of runs made by the Giants, Kevin scored 95 including 7 fours and sixes.
Mohammad Hafeez took two wickets dismissing Mustard and Corey Anderson. Kulasekara from Asia Lions bowled an economical spell also claimed two wickets.
In reply, Asia Lions lost their key opener Kamran Akmal (14) cheaply at 35. later on, Tharanga and Dilshan took the charge of run-chase and made a 88 run-partnership. Also equally helped by the cameos of upcoming batters, Hafeez (27), Asghar Afghan (14), and Misbah (19).
