A fluent knock of 71 runs by Khalid guided Sofi-XI to a title win of the Late Majid T20 tournament as they defeated Yasir-XI by 80 runs in the final played at Gani Memorial Stadium Rajouri Kadal, Srinagar on Saturday.
Batting first Sofi-XI scored 188 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in allotted overs. Khalid with 71 runs and Aman with 34 were top scorers for them while as Aijaz took 3 wickets for Yasir-XI.
In reply Yasir-XI made only 108 runs. Shahnawaz with 25 runs and Irfan with 20 were top scorers for them. Faizan took 3 wickets while as Samir Bell took 2 wickets for Sofi-XI.
Showkat Ahmed Khanyari was chief guest on the occasion. Farooq Saudagar, Altaf ur Rehman, Nasir Ahmad Sheikh, Nazir Ahmad Tanki and Mohammad Yousuf were also present on the occasion.
Winning team was awarded cash prize of rupees, 40000 while as runner-up rupees 10000.
