KSW AWARDS: Rasikh Salam is emerging talent of the year

In our first of its kind initiative, we have brought up KASHMIR SPORTS WATCH AWARDS to felicitate the best performers across multiple sports in Jammu and Kashmir.

Rasikh Salam- the face which was unknown just some months ago has now became a household name across whole Jammu and Kashmir.

The right-arm pacer after impressing in his maiden outing in Vijay Hazare Trophy was recently bought by Mumbai Indians in IPL Auction. He became the overall fourth cricketer and the youngest player from J&K to get a IPL contract.

Lately, he displayed some appealing performances for J&K U-19 side in Cooch Behar Trophy, taking 17 wickets in 5 matches. The teenager was then added to Ranji Trophy squad and he again came out with flying colours.

The Kulgam born cricketerscalped four wickets- two each in both innings- in his debut match and played a part in J&K’s win against Assam on Wednesday.

Doubtlessly, he is KSW’s emerging talent of the year.
