Srinagar, April 17: Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju has tested Postive for the COVID-19.
This was revealed by Rijiju himself on his official twitter handle on Saturday evening.
“After getting repeated test for Covid-19, today my report has come out positive. I’m taking the advice of the Doctors. I request all those who have come in my contact recently to be observant, exercise self-quarantine and get themselves tested. I’m physically fit and fine”.
Rijiju has asked all those who have come in his contact recently to self quarantine.
Kiren Rijiju was recently on April 9, 10 and 11 in Kashmir attended number of events .
He on April 9 attended award function at Taj Vivanta in which large number of players were present.
He also inaugurated water sports Rowing Centre of Excellence in Dal Lake on April 10. The function amoung others was also attended by Lt Governor J&K Manoj Sinha. Later in the day on April 10 , he witnessed Rugby and Football exhibition matches at TRC Ground Srinagar. He also visited Tulip Garden.
On April 11 he left from Srinagar.
With only five day difference between him being im Srinagar and testing Postive , large number of Kashmir officials and players need to go into self isolation .
