The locals of the Aluchi Bagh, Magarmal Bagh and adjoining areas have hailed J&K State Sports Council for taking over the Khadi Mill land at Aluchi Bagh Srinagar for conversion into a playing field.
J&K State Sports Council on public demand took possession of the Khadi Mill land at Aluchi Bagh. Council also invited tenders for fencing and channeling of the field.
“It is a welcome step that our long pending demand has been fulfilled. We are thankful to Chief Minister and MLA Batamallo for fulfilling their promises,” said incharge Grass Root Centre football academy Aluchi Bagh.
“The field will cater to youth of area belonging to Aluchi Bagh, Magarmal Bagh, Gulshan Colony, Banpora, Tengpora, Burzulla, Maharajpora, Batamallo and other adjoining areas. It was a long pending demand of locals as the land was vacant and readily available for conversion into playing field,” said another local.
