Kashmiri Kabaddi players allege discrimination, appeal Ansari, Parra for help

Srinagar: The Kashmir based Kabaddi players have alleged that the Jammu based J&K Kabaddi Association discriminates with them and holds no activity in the Kashmir province.

“The Association that is based in Jammu has been sidelining and discriminating with us the Kashmiri players from last many years. The Association organizes almost no event in Kashmir province,” said a Kabaddi player of Acme Sports Academy Nishat.

“Despite Kabaddi Association mistreating us , leaving us out of national events, no one in sports council and Kashmir has come up in our support till this date,” another player.

The players said that they are facing multiple problems due to unprofessional and discriminatory attitude of the Kabaddi Association and they have ruined their career.Discrimination

“They never inform us about the selection trials. Last month somehow we got news about trials and went to Jammu. We thought we will take part in trials but Association mislead us and we couldn’t take part in trials. We had gone on our own and on our own expenses and still Association did not want us to see getting selected for national event,” players said.

The players alleged that Association doesn’t organize any event in Kashmir and hardly inform Kashmiri players for National selection trails.

The players have now appealed Sports Minister Moulvi Imran Ansari and Secretary Sports Council Waheed ur Rehman Parra to look into the matter and help them in getting justice.
