In the ongoing first State University championship being held in Jammu University, the Kashmir University cricket and volleyball teams have booked their place in the finals.
Kashmir University cricket team men booked their place in finals by defeating Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University by 7 wickets. Batting first Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University scored 58 runs only which Kashmir University easily chased in 10 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.
For Kashmir University Irfan , Saleem and Zakir took 3,2 and 2 wickets respectively while as Usaid scored 25 runs.
Earlier Volleyball team men of Kashmir University also booked their place in finals. Prof. Khursheed Andrabi, Vice-Chancellor Kashmir University, Registrar Kashmir University and Director Physical Education and Sports has congratulated the teams and accompanying staff for their achievement and wished them luck in finals.
