Srinagar: Tahira Khanam’s school defeated Little Angels School Rajbagh by 10-wickets in a one sided contest of Kashmir Harvard Under-16 inter-School cricket tournament at TRC ground here on Tuesday.tahira Khanams Group

In the third match of the event that is being organized by State Cricket Academy of Sports Council in collaboration with Amblin , Little Angels won the toss and elected to bat first.

Batting first they were going steadily till the late middle order collapse happened and whole team got all out for 66 runs. At one point Little Angel’s were on 54 for the loss of four wickets in 10 overs. After that collapse was triggered and whole team bundled for 66, adding only 12 more with and giving away six wickets. Little Angels got all out in 16 overs. Tasfeen with 15 was highest scorer for them while as Ifnan scored 10. For Khanam’s Adnan was pick of the bowlers taking three wickets in his four over spell. He gave away only 12 runs in his quota. Shifayat also took three wickets while as Junaid, Amir and Amir Iqbal took one wicket each.Little Angels Group

In reply Tahira Khanam’s started their inning cautiously to get the feel of the wicket. Angels opening bowler bowled two overs given away only three runs with one maiden. However, once both openers Shahid and Amir Farooq got their eye set they started to play strokes. They carried their team home without any loss of wicket in nine overs. Amir Farooq scored 36 while as Shahid scored 19.mom kahnams

Star cricketer and sports council coach Abid Nabi was guest on the occasion along with Little Angels official Irfan. They gave away man of the match prize to Adnan for his terrific bowling spell.

On Wednesday Kashmir Harvard Educational Institute are scheduled to clash with DPS Srinagar. The event is sponsored by Kashmir Harvard, J&K Bank and Unibec Biscuits.
