The power packed team performance by J&K Ranji trophy team on the second day of the match against Rajasthan is perfect reply to Mithun Manhas’s wild accusations of team being divided by Parvez Rasool.
Not paying any heed to the claim made by Manhas that skipper Parvez Rasool is creating rift in the team and that is why he wanted Parvez to be striped of captaincy, JK playing like a unit did wonders on the second of the match in Jaipur on Saturday.
J&K first bundled out Rajasthan for 330 and then were 150 for the loss of one wicket at the end of second days play.
Be it bowling, fielding or batting, JK shined in all departments on the second day which was not a case when Manhas helmed the act during last two previous seasons. Though it is too early to predict the season but the energy level and coordination in team is different and perfect for any team.
On day two Mudhasir, veteran Samiullah, Parvez Rasool , youngsters Shubham and Omar Banday shined for JK. With such team performance they have sent strong message to the outsider Manhas that he is wrong and should not try to divide team.
Before Manhas joined, Team JK were on rise and had achieved many remarkable feats including qualifying for next round and also beating mighty Mumbai in their own den. Then suddenly with the arrival of Manhas everything changed and team looked lost.
No one was able to understood what is happening as team went from best to worst. But with the glimpse of team in contention without involvement of Manhas who refused to join the squad, it is any bodies guess who was the dividing figure and who JK bad.
It is high time JKCA acts tough against Manhas who refused to join team as coach and was demanding axing of Parvez as skipper.
Parvez is biggest star that JK has ever produced in cricket while Manhas gave his prime to Delhi side. For JKCA is a decision to chose between a character who makes team look like a Team or a person who has made it only worst.
