JKCA Tourney: Shahid Malik’s breathtaking bowling spell hands Varmul XI easy win

Baramulla, June 22: An exceptional spell of bowling by Shahid Malik on Saturday steered Varmul XI to an easy win against Singhpora in the ongoing JKCA-organised Talent Hunt tourney at Baramulla.

Earlier, ater finding luck with the coin, Singhpora decided to bat first. However, the decision didn’t turn out to be a fortunate one as they lost early wickets.

None of their batsman showed resistance, courtesy some special bowling by Varmul bowlers. They ended up scoring paltry 100 runs.
Shahid Maik looked in top touch, scalping four wickets by giving away meagre 20 runs in his 5-over spell. Apart from him, Zufyan also scalped a four-for while Farhan and Rasim chipped in with a wicket each.

In reply, Varmul wasted no time in chasing down the small target. They competed the match in 11 overs with 7 wickets in hand. Rasim who scored a quick fifty was the hero with the bat for them.
