J&K Cricket Association on Thursday announced the list of Under-19 team that will be representing State in national event and Mujtaba Yousuf, who was recently selected for the Under-19 India camp, is missing in the list.
The selected 16 players will be representing J&K in the U-19 Vinoo Mankand tournament scheduled to be held in Haryana from October 7 to 15.
Team includes Qamran Iqbal (Captain), Sahil Lotra (Vice-Captain), Vivrant Sharma, Jiyaad Nazir Magray, Jameel Nazir, Abdul Samad, Kanhaya Wadhwan,Waseem Ahmad, Taizeem Younis Tak, Mudabir Ahmad, Sheikh Shareef Shafat, Umar Majeed, Sawan Singh, Balwan Singh, Ayush Singh, Ankush Gill.
Young pacer Mujtaba Yousuf from Bijbehara, who was part of Under-19 India camp in National Cricket Academy -Bangalore after being selected for the camp.
“He should have been automatic choice in the team as he has already proven his mettle at national level. He is among top Under-19 cricketers of Country not t mention of J&K,” said a senior cricketer. (Courtesy GK)
