JK Muaythai team bags 11 medals in national championship

Srinagar: J&K State Muaythai team participated in senior national Muaythai Championship and Junior Muaythai league 2017 which was held at Jorethang Sikkim from December 26th to December 31st.muathai

The event was organised by Muaythai Association of Sikkim sanctioned by Muaythai India National Federation (MINF). Junior league was introduced first time with huge cash awards were given to athletes. J&K team bagged 11 medals which include 4 gold,3 silver and 4 bronze.

Arif Ahmad,Kamraan Bashir,Sameer and Hina Abdullah got gold medals, Umer Mehraj,Humaira and Muskaan got silver medals and Saakib Dar,Tufail Rouf,Tajamul Sameer  and Syed Talha Shah got bronze medals in their respective catagories.

Arif Ahmad Bhat was awarded with best male fighter award and was awarded with cash prize and a trophy. The team was accompanied by general secretary (JKMA) Aijaz Hassan, coach Rameez Ahmad Dar and national referees Faraz Ashraf and Peerzada Muzamil Ishaq. JKMA is going to conduct first ever national Muaythai championship in J&K 3rd national federation cup 2018 sanctioned by Muaythai India National Federation (MINF).
