In the ongoing inter group cricket tournament being played at Islamia College Srinagar, ICS Whites defeated ICS Blues by 3 wickets in the second match of the tournament.
After winning the toss Blues team chose to bat first and scored 212 runs in the allotted30 overs for 6 wickets . Mohammad Shahid scored 85 runs in 63 balls and Mehfooz Khan scored 28 runs in 26 balls. Irfan took 3 wickets for ICS Whites. Chasing a target of 213 the Whites team overhauled the target in 28.3 over for 7 wickets. Shezan scored 99 runs in 70 balls and Amaan scored 24 runs in 25 balls. Zubair and Yafas took 2 wickets each for their team.
Tomorrow the first semifinal of the tournament will be played between ICS Yellows and ICS Greens.
The tournament is being organised by the department of Physical Education of the college.
