Two Sambo martial art players Irfan Latief and Owais Hamid from J&K Police Judo team won silver and bronze medals in the 1st National Beach Sambo Championship-2019 held at Pondicherry Beach, Pondicherry.
The championship was held from February 8th to 10th, 2019. Irfan bagged silver medal in 68kg while as Owais bagged bronze in 74kg senior weight category. The event was organised by Pondicherry Amateur Sambo Association. The team was accompanied by the coach Sanjay Khajuria and manager Rameshwar Singh Jamwal.
