Srinagar: The two days Wushu Selection trial for the BRICS Games and 10th Asian Wushu Championship concluded in Jammu on Saturday.
Wushu Association of India finalised 20 Players of Indian Wushu team for the BRICS Games, whereas the National campers for the 10th Asian Wushu championship will be shortlisted withing couple of days.
Wushu Association of india honoured Arjun Awardee N Roshibina Devi (Asian Games Silver medalist) during the event.
The deadline for the final entry to be sent to Sports Authority of india for the BRICS games is 5th May whereas the proposal for the National Wushu coaching camp will be finalised within couple of days.
Eight (8) Players in Sanda event including three (03) women and twelve (12) Taolu players including seven (7) Men and three (3) Women athletes have been finalised for the BRICS Games.

The Wushu Association of India has proposed the National Squad for the BRICS Games to Sports Authority of India for the sanction of the Indian team for the Games and the sanction for the National Wushu coaching camp for the selected campers, so that the best performance can be extracted from the selected team.

The Wushu Association of J&K congratulated all the selected players and wished them all the best for the event.
Suhel Ahmed CEO Wushu Association of India thanked Wushu Association of J&K and the J&K Sports Council for hosting Selection trial with great success and hoped that in future, J&K will host so many national stature events. Moreover he conveyed that recently they requested Secretary (Sports) for the establishment of Wushu accademy in J&K so that most of the National Wushu Coaching camp will be held in UT J&K.

Vijay Saraf General Secretary Wushu Association of India presented memento to the Suhel Ahmed and thanked him choosing Jammu for the national selection trial.
