Srinagar, February 13: Only one cricketer from Jammu and Kashmir was picked in the IPL Auction 2022 while 10 others missed out as their name didn’t come up in the auction.

Rasikh Salam, who was earlier part of Mumbai Indians in IPL 2019, was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders at his base price of 20 lakh.

Rest of the 10 players who had made it to the auction list included Mujtaba Yousuf, Parvez Rasool, Henan Malik, Qamran Iqbal, Fazil Rashid, Abid Mushtaq, Nasir Lone, Auqib Nabi, Vivrant Sharma and Yudhvir Singh.

While Mujtaba’s name came up twice in the auction, other nine didn’t even get a mention. Mujtaba remained unsold at both the occassions.

Meanwhile, J&K’s Abdul Samad and Umran Malik were already retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad at 4 crore each.
