Pulwama, February 12: Islamia College and GDC Sumbal on Wednesday made it to the quarter-finals of ongoing inter-college Kabbadi rolling trophy at Degree college Pulwama.
In the first match, GDC Sumbal pipped Tangmarg. GDC Tangmarg scored 55 points while as GDC Sumbal cruised past with 60 points.
In the second match, Islamia College scored 67 points while GDC Tral could only make 40 points.
Lastly, principal of the host college GDC Pulwama, Prof. Farooq Ahmad Andrabi applauded the efforts of all the teams and particularly congratulated GDC SUMBAL and GDC Tangmarg for participating in the tournament.
The match was presided over by Dr Faisal S Hayyat, PTI of the College and Dr. Suhaib A. Bandh, Convenor sports board.
The ongoing tournament at GDC Pulwama is part of sports festival for Kashmir Division colleges sponsored by Department of Higher education, Jammu and Kashmir.
