Imran Ansari approves aid for National Snow Rugby 7’s Championship

Jammu, Jan 13 : In a major development, Minister for Youth Services and Sports Molvi Imran Reza Ansari, who is also the Vice-President of the Sports Council, approved special grant-in-aid in favor of J&K Rugby Association, Srinagar for hosting of 3rd senior National Snow Rugby 7’s championship. The championship will be held at Gulmarg in second week February.

The state teams invited to participate in the snow rugby sevens championship for men and women includes, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Gujrat, Madhya Pradesh, Kerela, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Chandigarh and Assam. Only eight state teams will participate in the snow rugby 7’s championship for men and women that will be held at snow clad Gulmarg, a sports council statement issued said.

Secretary Sports Council who had earlier recommended the association for grant-in-aid said that they are hopeful that the J&K Rugby association will make the whole state proud.
