Hajin, May 18: In the ongoing Hajin Cricket Cup, BCC Hajin defeated Wonder Boys Safapora in a nail-biting finish by 2 runs to enter next round.
Batting first, BCC posted a total of 136/7 on board in alloted 20 overs. Ishfaq played a valiant knock of 34 runs while as Sahail added 27 runs to his name. Hilal and Irshad took 2 wickets each for Safapora.
In response, the match turned out to be a thriller and Wonder Boys felt short of the target by just 2 runs (134/10 in 19.4 overs). Ras Aamir was the top scorer with 39 runs to his name. For BCC, Showket KK and Umar Lefty were the stars with the ball as they bagged 4 wickets each.
Showket was declared as player of the match for his brilliant bowling spell.
