Srinagar, May 28: Gulbadan of GDC Ganderbal emerged as winner in the Inter-College road race held from Lalit Ghat Boulward to Kashmir University Rumi gate here on Friday.
The event for men was organised by Directorate of Physical Education & Sports, University of Kashmir and in it around100 athletes from 23 affiliated colleges of the University participated.
The event was flagged off by Registrar, Dr. Nisar Ahmad Mir.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Nisar A Mir congratulated all the participants and wished them the best of luck for the road race. He further said that the University is taking every possible measure to facilitate the students towards their participation in the forthcoming sports activities.
Gulbadan of GDC Ganderbal emerged winner while as Fida Hussain of SAM College Budgam bagged second place.
Suhail Nisar Shah of Islamia College clinched bagged third place.
The medal distribution ceremony was held in the Directorate of Physical Education & Sports.
Medals were distributed by Dean Students Welfare, Prof. Rayees Dadri and Director Physical Education & Sports Prof. Showkat Ahmad Shah.
