M.E.T Sopore, March 17: In the first match of the Friends Cup 5th Edition, Team Assad Bradman Sopore defeated ICC Sopore in a close encounter by 7 runs.
Batting first, Team Bradman posted a competitive total of 159/4 in alloted 20 overs on board. Asif Parry top scored with unbeaten 70 runs while as Shakir Bhat added 27 runs. Zubair took 2 wickets for ICC Sopore.
Chasing the target, ICC Sopore came close but fell short of the target by just 7 runs(152/7 in 20 overs). Mohammad Shahid contributed 76 runs for his team while as for Team Bradman, M.Yousuf and Amir Rather took 2 wickets each.
Asif Parry was declared as player of the match for his brilliant batting performance.
