Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) on Monday finalised the squad for the upcoming Buchi Babu 2023 Invitational Tournament, KSW has learned.
Fazil Rashid, the wicket-keeper batsman, is set to lead the team for the first time for this 4-day tournament organised by Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA).
J&K is placed in Group C alongside Mumbai and Delhi and will play its first match against Delhi from August 21-24 at Salem.
JKCA had held a fitness camp before two three-day trial matches at Jammu to select the squad for this premier tournament.
Qamran Iqbal, who was out for a long time due to injury, is back. Left-arm spinner Vishal Kumar has also made a maiden appearance in the senior team.
It is expected that this squad with not many changes will feature in the upcoming Ranji Trophy as well.
