The wait is over as the cricketing extravaganza in deserts of Saudi Arabia will begin on Friday with the inaugural match of first ever Kashmir Premier League (KPL-I) at Nofa Cricket Stadium at 7am.
KPL –I has been started by Non Resident Kashmiris living and working in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They will have a great chance to meet and spend beautiful time with their families and friends while also watching own brethren playing cricket on every Friday.
Three matches will be played on this Friday with the first one between Downtown Dynamites Al-Kharaj and Anantnag Avengers Abha.
The second match of the day will be played between Srinagar Strikers Jeddah and Baramullah Bashers Nofa at 1:30 pm while as in the third and the final match of the day, Rajbagh Royals Riyadh will lock horns against Rawalkot Rangers Jubail at 6 pm.

The people behind the inception of KPL in Saudi for Kashmiris include its Samiullah Najar , Ishfaq Bhar and Dr.Sadaat Bashir who worked very hard to make this happen.
The aim of this tournament is to meet all the Kashmiris living in Saudi on weekends and have fun.
Earlier, the KPL Trophy and the team jerseys were unveiled on October 6, 2017 in a grand opening ceremony held in Swiss Royal International Hotel in Riyadh.
CEO KPL Samiullah Najar said it is a big moment for the Kashmiris who are living in Saudi to witness first of its kind sporting event in the kingdom.
“The tournament is being dedicated to all the Kashmiris who are working at many places in the world. This KPL will unite Kashmiris through facebook as we are expecting them to watch our matches,” said Najar.
