Srinagar: Martial art is a sports that has many branches and in that Taekwon-do is considered among one of the primarily branches. A young talented 18-year old player, Danish Manzoor is on the rise these.
In the recently held national Taekwon-do championship at Jaipur Danish bagged silver medal. Danish jumped into taekwon-do sport in year 2011 and since then has won around 15 medals in various State and national level events.
In 2011 he secured bronze medal in state trials of youth service and sports event after that gold in North Zone event held in Srinagar. In 2012 he bagged bronze in State Federation cup and from 2013 is consecutive gold medalists in District,State and Open Kashmir events.
He bagged fourth place in National event in 2014 and this time made sure to make it silver medal.
The talented player aspires to achieve big but lack of support is hindering his progress.
