Sopore, November 17: An excellent spell of left-arm spin bowling by Muntazim on Wednesday led Baramulla Cricket Club (BCC) Reds to an easy win against Kashmir Sikh XI in the ongoing Champions Cup, here.

Batting first, Sikh XI got off to a flying start. However, before they could take it forward, BCC bowlers ran through their batting line-up. They made only 114 runs.

Muntazim was the wrecker-in-chief as picked a five-wicket-haul while giving away meagre 11 runs in his 4 overs. Apart from him, Nasir also picked a brace. For Sikh XI, Mudasir was the lone warrior. He made 27-ball 56-run knock.

In reply, BCC chased down the total without any trouble. Sajid fired unbeaten 55-ball 73 runs while Ishfaq made 26.

Muntazim, for his spell, won player of the match award.
