One of the most sought after UFC and WWE fighter in World, Brock Lesnar announced his shock retirement from UFC through UFC chief Dana White recently.

He was set to take on UFC Heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier in his return fight to UF. The fight was in buildup for months and in the end Brock lesnar as per Dana White backed off.

However Daniel Cormier still believes Brock Lesnar will eventually return to UFC.

“I don’t know. When we get these fights there are a lot of negotiations, a lot of things that need to be discussed and hammered out,” Cormier was quoted in reports.

“I don’t know if Brock was able to come to terms with UFC, I just don’t know. I’m sure he will bounce back, he always seems to land on his feet. I just got the call that Brock was done fighting and what do I want to do next,” he further said.

Although Lesnar didn’t renew his UFC contract this time around, Cormier believes the former heavyweight champion is destined to re-sign with the premiere fight promotion at some point in the future.

“I think that Brock is a competitor and I do believe that if the right opportunity presents itself for him he would do it,” Cormier said. “The guy is a fighter. Everybody kind of shits on Brock Lesnar and talk like this guy can’t fight, but he is a fighter and he is a competitor and he likes money.

With Lesnar out, Cormier will defend his heavyweight title against Stipe Miocic, who he originally knocked out to become the UFC’s first ever simultaneous light heavyweight and heavyweight champion at UFC 226.

UFC 241: Cormier vs. Miocic 2 takes place later this year, August 17 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
