Srinagar , April 13: According to the latest report ‘The Independent ‘ , England superstar Ben Stokes is going to miss entire ongoing Premier League (IPL) 202 due to broken hand.
The Independent report said that Rajasthan Royals’s all-rounder suffered injury during Royals opening match of the tournament on Monday.
“The England allrounder sustained the injury during Rajasthan Royals’ opening match with Punjab Kings on Monday when taking a catch to dismiss Chris Gayle,” Report said.
“He immediately felt discomfort in his left hand, grimacing as he got up to celebrate with his teammates,” report said.
Later opening the batting, he scored a three-ball duck as the Royals fell five runs short of their target of 222.
“Stokes will remain out in India for a week. Dialogue has already begun between the ECB and Royals around managing the injury. He will have an X-Ray in India on Thursday to determine how much damage has been done before the ECB take over the planning of the recovery,” The Independent report added.
