Anantnag, September 4: Block Development Council (BDC), Khoveripora, Mattan Friday banned the cricket tournaments that charge excessive fee in the region.
BDC, taking note of the tournaments with ‘exorbitant’ fee, said it is keeping young talent from participating in the tournaments as they can’t afford the fee.
The council also directed the organisers to limit the fee of knockout tournaments to RS 2000 and RS 4000 for league-based events.
The order further says that those violating these terms will face strict action and could lead to banning of organising organisations.
