In the final match of Ramzaan Cup 2018, Breng Cricket Club defeating Rehmat-e-Alam Cricket Club Anantnag in a nail biting finish here at Sports Stadium Anantnag. Breng Cricket Club won the title by 3 runs.
After wining the toss, BCC Breng while batting first set a huge target of 193 in 20 overs, in which Aarif scored 95 runs. In reply Rehmat-e-Alam Cricket Club took the match to last over, where RACC was needed 11 runs in 6 balls with one wicket in hand. In that over Uniad Khan lofted a huge six and took the match to nail biting finish. Unaid Khan again lofted the ball towards Long on area where he was caught brilliantly by Arif. Thus BCC Breng became the champion team of the tournament. At the end Aarif was declared as Man of the match for his match winning inning of 95 runs. Ubaid Feheem was adjudged as Man of the tournament and Riyaz Parrey as Best bowler of the tournament. A part from these awards, players and officials were also appreciated by awards. On the final match occasion, Abid Pathan (Own of Team Spartans) was the chief guest with other guests included Manzoor Ahmad Wani (Chairman DCF Anantnag), Lateef Sahab (Treasurer DCF), Firdous Maamaji (Senior Cricketer), Dr. Riyaz Veeri (Sports Analyst) and other guests who gave away the trophies and awards to players as well as officials of the tournament. On the concluding segment of the award ceremony, all the guests and players lauded the efforts of organizer Mr. Riyaz Parrey for organizing such a mega tournament and providing friendly atmosphere which cultivates a spirit of competition, patience and brotherhood among sportsmen.
