Khawaja Bagh Baramulla, April 28: In a friendly cricket match played today at Showkat Ali Stadium of GDCBaramulla, Department of Media Studies defeated Department of Urdu by a huge margin of 46 runs.
Batting first, Media Studies posted a total of 78/4 on board in alloted 10 overs. Dr Danish Nabi top scored with 34 runs while as Saqib Bashir added valuable 25 runs to his name. Irfan took 2 wickets for Urdu Department.
In reply, Department of Urdu never looked comfortable in chase as they bundled out on mere 32 runs in 7 overs. Rayees was the top scorer with 15 runs to his name. For Media Studies Shoaib Nazir was the wrecker-in-chief as he took 8 wickets in his spell while as Saqib Bashir and Zubair Bhat shared 1 wicket each.
Shoaib Nazir was declared as player of the match for his brilliant bowling spell.
