Srinagar, April 10: Former J&K Ranji Trophy captain and Chief Operating Officer of District Cricket Association (DCA) Anantnag Abdul Qayoom Bagow on Friday chaired the meeting of District body at Baghi I Mahtab Resort Mattan Anantnag.
“An extra ordinary meeting of District Cricket Association was held on April 10 which was presided over by Chief Operating Officer and former Ranji Captain Abdul Qayoom Bagow . In the meeting it was hailed that the High Court has restored the dignity of game of Cricket and its followers, will help in promoting, boost the game in right prospective in all parts of J&K through its governing body BCCI/JKCA,” Association statement said.
“Furthermore it was unanimously resolved that the association will start its activities as per calander of activities -2021 at all venues of District besides backlog matches will be conducted very shortly with an inaugral match of Valley Championship season -II 2021(40 overs),” Statement further read.
The participating teams, clubs register their teams with renewal registration fee as decided .
“In this regard registration forms will be available at IB Sports Anantnag near Sumit Restaurant and GM Sports Badami Gali Lal Chowk from 15th of April 2021 and subsequently return, deposit by or before 25th of April 2021,” statement said.
“In order to promot the game of Cricket , association will conduct all upcoming tournaments on long version pattern (40 over). It was also resolved that the membership of Association will be extended and proper representation will be given to all areas of the District on merit basis.
It was also decided that the association will nominate the list of some respectable personalities of District Anantnag as associate members,” statement added.
