Shubham Pundir is undoubtedly one of the promising youngsters making way in the J&K team, however, he has been unable to convert his junior-level performances for the senior team especially in T20s.
Having played 6 matches and scored 15 runs, the southpaw averages paltry 3 and strikes at 65 in T20s for J&K. Though his numbers are far better in List-A format, with 285 runs in 12 matches.
Meanwhile, the question is whether he is good enough for T20 team or not? Well, the numbers suggest that he needs to work a lot to improve his shorter-version numbers.
Pertinently, the selectors might give a thought to recent figures in the trial matches and age-group stats before finalising his place in the squad.
